Blaze causes $100,000 damage to Dover barn

The Chatham-Kent Fire Department has ruled a blaze in Dover as unintentional, as $100,000 damage was caused to a barn.

Fire officials said they believe the electrical fire started in a tractor located inside the barn at 7809 St. Phillips Line.

About $100,000 worth of property was saved.

Fire officials said crews responded quickly to the blaze, in very cold conditions.

Firefighters from Station 4 – Dover, Station 7 – Chatham South and Station 5 – Tupperville fought the fire.

The blaze started at 3:06 p.m. this afternoon (Mar. 2.)

No one was injured.
