‘Alice In Wonderland’ selected for Kansas City festival

imageVoices In The Wind Audio Theatre is pleased to announce that their audio drama production of ‘Alice In Wonderland’ has been selected by a panel of esteemed judges for featured presentation status at this year’s prestigious HEAR Now Festival to be held in Kansas City MO June 19 – 22, 2014.

David Farquhar, Producer of Voices In The Wind Audio Theatre says “This is quite an honour as ‘Alice’ had to go through a multi stage judging process and was up against some of the best audio drama production companies from across North America and Internationally. To be a featured audio drama production at the HEAR Now Festival is akin to being a featured movie at the Toronto International Film Festival.”

Farquhar notes, “Diane Vanden Hoven a London, Ontario based writer did an excellent job of adapting Lewis Carroll’s timeless classic for audio. In addition to having a great script, we also had a great cast. Toronto based Georgia Lee Schultz did a stellar job of playing the part of Alice. Georgia is a graduate of St. Clair College’s Music Theatre Performance Program. Also, New York based George Zarr composed a wonderful song for Alice to sing in the production.”

The other cast members included multi-award winning Voice/Film/Broadway/TV actor Barbara Rosenblat of New York, Brady Van Vaerenbergh of Toronto, Greg Sheen of London, Alexandra Poole, Michael Dick, Bob Telfer, Alaina Walker, Bill Tye, Keith Burnett, Norm McLeod, David Farquhar all of Chatham. The production was directed by Pat Gough and Laura Van Veen also of Chatham.

You can listen to ‘Alice In Wonderland’ at the Voices In The Wind Audio Theatre website or the Moonlight Audio Theatre website.
