George Beverley Bain of Thamesville

Bain: George Beverley a lifelong resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at the Georgetown Hospital, on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the age of 86.

Born in Thamesville, son of the late Alexander and Johanna (Mackenzie) Bain, George owned and operated A. Bain and Son Welding in Thamesville from 1950 until his retirement in 1993.

George was in the Essex and Kent Scottish Regiment reserve, was Past President and life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br.#367, Thamesville and a member of St. James Presbyterian Church, Thamesville.

Beloved husband of the late Shirley (Black) Bain (2004).

Loving father of John and Susan Bain of Waterloo, Charles Bain of Banff, Beverley and Dennis King of Georgetown.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren Spencer and Fraser Bain, Madeleine, Allyda, and Ian King.
Dear brother of Joanne Watson.

Predeceased by his sister Barbara Atkinson and brother William “Bill” Bain.

The Bain family will receive friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria St., Thamesville on Thursday evening from 7-9pm.

A Legion Memorial Service will take place at 6:45pm.

The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11am(visitation from 1 hour prior) with Pastor Bob McCall officiating.

Interment of cremains in Mayhew-Mt.Pleasant Cemetery.

Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Royal Canadian Legion Br.#367, Thamesville or the Charity of one’s choice.
