Walter Wilfred ‘Wally’ Wilder, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the age of 74.
Wally is the son of the late Walter William and Mary Elizabeth (McIntyre) Wilder.
Beloved husband of 48 years to Linda Frances (Salerno).
Loving father of Michael (Cathy Cogghe) and Terence (Maria Elena Ciapara) and grandfather of Jesse & Rachael Taylor and Hector Wilder.
Dear brother of Vicky Hess (Dave).
Kind son-in-law of Lillian Salerno.
Brother-in-law of Rosanna Salerno and Maria Lewis (Doug).
Walter will be missed by his extended family, friends, nieces and nephews.
Walter worked at Libbey Glass for 42 years.
He was a craftsman and artist – painting & carving, and, as family was most important, loved working with his children and grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Thursday, May 8.
Cremation and a private family funeral to follow at a later date.
