A 20-year-old Walpole Island man charged with attempted murder will remain behind bars, after he was denied bail today (June 4.)
Taylor Ermatinger, was arrested May 20 after an altercation at Sam’s Hotel in Wallaceburg.
A Justice of The Peace made the decision in a Chatham court room to keep Ermatinger in custody .
A publication ban is in effect for evidence in the hearing, which lasted two days in court.

The 19-year-old victim in the altercation is still listed in critical condition in a London hospital, police say.
A second man, 18-year-old Jessy Elder of Wallaceburg, is also charged in the case.
He has been named as an accessory to the crime and is also facing a charge of obstructing police.
Elder is set to appear for a bail hearing on Thursday, June 5.
He was originally suppose to appear for his bail hearing last week, but it got moved.
