Hundreds lined the shores of the St. Clair River this morning and thousands of dollars was raised at the 5th annual St. Clair River Run.
Ben Hazzard, one of the organizers, said there was an amazing turnout.
“We have overcast skies, which is picture perfect from a runners perspective,” he said. “We had some bands at the 10K, 5K starts, we also had bands along the route. One of my favourites, we had pipers playing as people ran into the park” at the finish line.
Hazzard added: “We had a little over 950 registered participants and we’ve made just about $50,000 for the St. Clair River Trail today.
