3rd Annual Wallaceburg Kinsmen Ribfest Begins This Weekend!

Everyone is invited to 1416 Dufferin Avenue  to experience the taste of award winning ribs, enjoy the music from local talent and appreciate the dedication and hard work from the Wallaceburg Kinsmen and many volunteers.  The entire weekend will be free admission and will also feature a licensed bar.

(1416 Dufferin Avenue is located right beside the Wallaceburg Hometown Bingo Hall).

Wallaceburg Council and Kinsmen Life Member, Sheldon Parsons said he’s been looking forward to the success of this weekend.

“It’s going to be good weather, good crowds with good prime ribs. Crabby Joes will be attending along with Blazin’ BBQ that will be providing hot food and good beverages. There’s a nice stage that will be showcasing all the live music for this weekend. We’re really hoping to get a good crowd this year”.

Liquor Inspectors came yesterday to ensure everything is up to code with regulations and policies. Public Health is expected to inspect tomorrow afternoon (Friday Aug. 22).

Parsons explains that Ribfest gives volunteers the opportunity to give back to the community.

“A lot of people get thier volunteer hours during this weekend because it’s such a big event. We put a lot of effort into this. About three to four thousand people are expected to attend”.
