Dresden man turns himself in

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic related incident.

On July 2, 2014, the man entered into a Peace Bond with his ex-common-law.

The man was bound by conditions not to associate or communicate with the woman directly or indirectly.

On September 17, 2014, the man attended the woman’s residence in Chatham.

Upon leaving, the man continued to call and text her.

Police were notified of the unwanted contact.

Attempts were made to locate the man, however when unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday morning, the man turned himself in to police headquarters.

The 48-year-old Dresden man was charged with breaching his peace bond.

He was released with conditions pending a future court date.
