T.J. Brodie signing long-term deal with Calgary Flames

Dresden Minor Hockey product T.J. Brodie is getting set to become a mainstay with the Calgary Flames.

Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman is reporting that the Flames defenceman will finalize a five-year, $23.25 million contract with the club today.

The 24-year-old would be making $4.65 million a year.

Brodie is off to a great start for the Flames this season.

In seven games played, Brodie has scored three goals and recorded four assists for seven points.

He is currently on a six-game point streak as well.

He is also plus five on the blue-line, while logging between 22 and 27 minutes a game.

The Flames are set to host the Tampa Bay Lightning tomorrow night in Calgary.
