The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a domestic related incident yesterday in Wallaceburg.
Around 10:30 a.m. the man and his common-law girlfriend began arguing.
It escalated into a physical confrontation when the man tried to push her down the stairs.
The pregnant woman was able to catch herself however was transported to hospital as a precaution.
The 27-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with assault.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
