Dresden woman dies in crash

Last night at 9:03 p.m. police received a 911 call about a single vehicle collision on Union Line near Prince Albert Road.

A grey 2006 Pontiac G6 was travelling southwest on Union Line when it lost control and struck a bridge railing on the north side of the road.

The driver, a 25-year-old woman from Dresden was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 2-year-old child passenger was transported to hospital and later released.

A next-of-kin notification has taken place and the family has requested that the name of the driver not be released.

Members of the Chatham-Kent police offer their deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

The Traffic Management Unit is investigating this collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Michael Pearce at 519-355-1092.
