CIRT conducts drug bust

Yesterday, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section and Critical Incident Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a residence on Kendall Street in Chatham.

Officers located and seized methamphetamine, hydromorphone and fentanyl patches with a street value of approximately $1200.

Drug packaging equipment and Canadian currency were also seized.

A 28-year-old woman and 50-year-old man have been charged with two counts of drug possession and one count of drug possession for the purposes of trafficking.

They were both released pending a future court date of February 12, 2015.
