Don Wells is about to embark on another journey.

This year, the Port Lambton man is looking to raise funds and awareness about childhood cancer.

Wells is set to take-off on foot on June 22 from Port Lambton, where he will begin a 160 km walk.

He is set to travel through Walpole Island, Wallaceburg, Dresden, Chatham and Windsor, ending at the Windsor Tunnel on his 66th birthday, June 29.

Wells will also be stopping at the Brentwood Recovery Home in Windsor, a place where he graduated from over 30 years ago.

This will be his third ‘Don’s Journey of Hope’ and his first on foot.

Last year, Wells completed a 2,100-kilometre E-Bike trek from Wallaceburg to Kingston to Owen Sound and back to benefit breast and prostrate cancer.

In his inaugural trip in 2013 while riding an electric scooter, he raised several thousand dollars for an Owen Sound soup kitchen and homeless shelter.
