Eleven musical groups are booked for the 2015 Sunday Evening the Park concert series.

Starting June 28, a different act takes to the stage every Sunday evening at 7 p.m. at Dresden’s Jackson Park. The season continues until September 6.

New this year:

– Lindley Creek, a family bluegrass gospel band from Lebanon, Missouri. (August 2.)

– The Grineage Family, from Thamesville. (August 30)

– Pastor Gord Tetley & Friends, from Chatham. (August 16)

Returning are: the Chapelaires (June 28), The 5 Guys (July 5), The New Trademarks (July 12), Jeff Vercauteren & Tim Nishimura (July 19), The Master’s Four (July 26), Mercy (Aug. 9), One-A-Chord (Aug. 23) and Heading Home Trio (Sept. 6).

The event lasts approximately one hour.

It consists of two 20-minute musical sets and a 10-15 minute message from a local pastor.

An offering is taken which supports the work of the Dresden & District Christian Ministerial Association (sponsor of the event since 1994) and the honorarium paid to the musicians.

Music and ministry has been a fixture in Jackson Park on Sunday evenings since the late 1960s. Bring a law chair or enjoy the music from your vehicle!

Rain location will be Dresden Community Church.
