After a months long investigation, the Chatham-Kent police have laid child pornography charges in Blenheim.

On March 19, 2015, The Chatham-Kent Police Vulnerable Victims unit was conducting searches of local networks containing specific child pornography files.

A local IP address was linked to having access to several files of investigative interest, through file sharing networks or “torrents”.

Multiple warrants were obtained, to locate the subscriber to the IP address, and several electronic devices were later seized and forensically analysed.

In early June, 2015, the analysis was completed.

Electronic devices possessed by the suspect contained several child pornography files.

On July 8, 2015, a 44 year old Blenheim man was located, and arrested for Accessing Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography.

He was processed and later released with a future court date.

  1. Why was he released? He should stay in lockup until his court date!! What if now that he doesn’t have his porn to look at he starts watching little girls and boys? This is terrifying to a parent with young children.
