The Chatham-Kent Police Service Board is pleased to announce that Inspector Jeff Littlewood has been selected as the Deputy Chief designate for the Service.
Jeff began his policing career in 1984 with the Chatham Police Force. Since that time, he has worked in the Operational Support, Community Patrol and Administrative Branches of the Service.
In 1994, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and performed the roles of Court and Training Sergeant.
Jeff was promoted to Staff Sergeant in 2004 and transferred to Community Patrol as a Platoon Commander.
In 2009, he was transferred to the Operational Support Branch where he managed the Training and Professional Development Section.
In 2011, he was seconded to the Ontario Police College for six months to work collaboratively with the Ministry on an eLearning training program for Crime Prevention and Community Mobilization.
In 2013, he was promoted to Inspector in charge of Operational Support, which oversees the Major Crime, Intel/Drug, Identification and Traffic Management Units.
Jeff received his Professional Manager designation from the Canadian Institute of Management and is a certified Municipal Manager Level III.
His education includes:
– A Master in Public Administration from the University of Western Ontario
– A Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Windsor
– A Certificate in Criminology from the University of Windsor
– A certificate in Managing Toward Accountability from Queens University,
– A certificate in Business Management Skills from St. Clair College and a Diploma in Police Management Studies from the University of Western Ontario
Jeff is a graduate of the ROTMAN School of Business where he completed the Police Leadership Program.
He is a member of the Chatham-Kent Crime Prevention Board and the Chatham-Kent Victim Services Board.
