It didn’t take long for a local business to step up and make a donations towards the Wallaceburg splash pad project.

Staci Modde, owner of Wallaceburg’s Sports Injury and Physio Therapy, was happy to make a $500 contribution to the splash pad cause in an effort to give the campaign the boost it needs to get going.

“It has been a long time coming for our community,” Modde said, adding she really wants to see it happen for her hometown.

Chris Young, chair of the committee, was thrilled with the contribution.

“A big thank you to Staci, this is wonderful she contacted me the other night as soon as we opened the gates to the Facebook page,” he said.

Young added in the next few days the group will be reaching out to all businesses, service clubs, and community organizations to ask for their assistance in the fundraising efforts for this “overdue and very worthwhile community project.

“If anyone has questions or ideas please contact me through the Facebook page or send me a personal message and someone from our committee will be in touch with you shortly,” Young said.
