Port Lambton Mosquito Pirates finish perfect season

2015 Mosquito Pirates

The Port Lambton Mosquito Pirates took the gold for the second year in row during the weekend River League baseball wrap-up tournament hosted in Wallaceburg at Glen Mickle Park.

The double knock out format included nine teams from Port Lambton, Blenheim, Wallaceburg, Wyoming, two teams from Corunna, Dresden, Dover Centre and Camlachie.

The Port Lambton Mosquito Pirates, who went undefeated in the regular season and for the tournament, faced a tough Blenheim squad in their final tournament game on Sunday afternoon.

Pitching depth, solid defense, and reliable hitting from the entire line-up lead the team to its pinnacle with a fourth-inning rally sparking the win for the Port Lambton Mosquito Pirates, 8-3.
