The photographs of Tiho Velkovski are on display this month at the Wallaceburg and District Museum.
Velkovski was born and raised in Macedonia Yugoslavia.
His first camera, a Russian Rangefinder called a Smena 7, was given to him when he was in Grade 5.
The interest took hold and he was photographing everything he could from a child’s perspective.
As he grew, his interest grew, not just taking pictures but learning the technical side of the art and by 1970, he set up a dark room and developed his own film.
He moved to Canada in 1975, and began experimenting with colour photography his interest in architecture and sceneries grew.
As a Canadian citizen, Tiho pursued his passion and moved onto digital photography where her could take his work on to a new level of art using digital software.
Tiho spend a lot of his free time in nature and tries to transfer the beauty that occurs naturally, onto his images.
The exhibit will be on display at the Museum until Oct. 2.
