Still looking for something to do in Wallaceburg this upcoming weekend?

Well stop by the Kinsmen Community Centre and check out the group’s inaugural Pumpkinfest event.

Eric Hancock, the Wallaceburg Kinsmen president and the event organizer, said a chicken and rib dinner will be the featured meal at the event.

“We did do the Rib Fest in previous years and we found that just on return of effort and hours it wasn’t working,” Eric said. “So in keeping with that, we are still going to have a rib dinner, but will combine it with chicken.”

Tickets are $25 per person or two for $40.

“You can get some at 99.1 downtown, or I’ll deliver them anywhere within a reasonable distance of Wallaceburg if you want to buy them. Some of the other Kinsmen members have them, so there are ways to get them.”

Anyone interested in buying a ticket, can call Eric at 226-627-4916.

The dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. and wraps up at 8 p.m.

Advanced tickets are required.

The dance will begin following dinner.
