At 2:38 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Erieau Road and Bisnett Line in Harwich Township.
Police say a southbound Chevrolet Impala turned left onto Bisnett Line and in doing so, turned directly into the path of a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 49-year-old Erieau man suffered life-threatening injuries.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where he was stabilized and then airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London.
The 59-year-old female driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.
The damage to both vehicles is estimated at $14,000.
The Traffic Unit is currently investigating this collision.
