Christmas is coming a bit early this year at Rustic By The Bay.
An open house is being held on Saturday, November 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Mitchell’s Bay shop is going to feature items for the upcoming holiday season.
“We will be having door prizes and with each purchase you have a chance to win a $65 Christmas decor home item,” said Leslie Janssens, owner of the business. “There is going to be five door prizes that day. We are just bringing a lot of Christmas stuff, home decor, the candles and stuff for the tree.”
Leslie said they make many of the items.
“If we aren’t making it, we go treasure hunting,” she said. “I have suppliers that I order from. So we went to the gift show in Toronto back in August and we ordered a bunch of stuff from there. Or we will go antique shopping and look here and there. All over Northern Ontario, some stuff in the States we have but mostly here because we like to keep it in Canada.”
Leslie said they have a great selection of candles for the Christmas season.
“The #1 candle is the maple butter syrup,” she said. “The second famous one is the malt cider. We have the room diffusers and the scent cubes too. People who don’t want to use candles you can get them to use with your warmers. We will have that in room spray.”
Leslie said they also have a great selection of decorations for the Christmas tree, wall decor items, wreaths, a few snowmen, a lot of signs, old windows with wreaths on them, and fireplace items.
“We like to keep it unique,” she said. “I have a sleigh centrepiece, centrepieces for the table, lamps and outdoor items as well.”
