IMG_3840Kids in Wallaceburg will have the opportunity to meet and have breakfast with Santa on Saturday before the Christmas Parade in Wallaceburg.

Jerry Blake, one of the organizers, said his business Blake N’ Son’s Auto Repair is donating $500 in order to cover the cost of breakfast for the first 125 kids.

“It starts at 8 a.m. and goes until 11 a.m.” he said. “It is $4 for kids and $6 for adults.”

Blake said the breakfast includes pancakes, bacon, hash browns.

There will also be a photographer on hand, and photographs with Santa will be for sale.

“Santa Claus will be there for the whole thing and kids can go sit on his lap,” he said.

The majority of the volunteers are from the Knights Of Pythias and the event is being held at the Knights Of Pythias Hall at 225 Nelson St. in Wallaceburg.

The 46th annual Knights of Pythias Christmas Parade takes place in Wallaceburg on Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. The theme this year is Walt Disney.

Organizers are encouraging people to come with their floats early at around 1 p.m. to get setup on Arnold Street. The route will follow the same path as usual, down Dufferin, right onto Nelson and then wrapping up at the St. Clair Catholic District School Board parking lot on Duncan Street.

The group is also hoping to break the record for most lawn tractors in a parade. The record currently sits at over 800. Back in 2013, the Wallaceburg parade included nearly 300 lawn tractors.
