Duchene Paint Store & Accent Alley will be in full Christmas-mode on Thursday during the Downtown Wallaceburg Holiday Open House.
Melanie Lozon said the crew at the store will be doing their Christmas preview and will have the whole store decorated and ready for the holidays
“We will be featuring some dip samples from Gourmet Village. They are a Canadian company… a family owned company from just outside of Quebec. They have some new holiday dips they came out with for entertaining, so we are going to have those out for samples,” Melanie said.
“We also have our Woodwick Candles that we stock. They are wonderfully scented candles that crackle and make a sound like a fireplace when you burn them.”
Melanie said they will be doing samples of working with the fusion paint they carry, “which is working with the mineral paints for furniture.
“So we are going to have a furniture piece set up where people can actually try the paint itself,” she said.
Melanie said they will be covering the tax during the BIA event, on any purchase made in Accent Alley.
They are also holding a draw for a $100 gift basket.
“Of course we always have our Tervis tumblers,” she said. “Our big thing we have this year is called our ‘Build a Basket Centre’. So it is everything you would need to whip up a hostess gift. From having the baskets, the wrapping and then all the filling. We have hot chocolate, there is flavoured popcorn, there is toppings for your popcorn, there is chocolate, chocolate melts, chocolate covered pretzels, pre-made brie cheese.”
“So it’s a whole station where you just grab basket, the filler, cellophane and then start stocking in the basket. We can do it for you at no charge or you can bring it home and make it yourself. All you have to do it pick the stuff.”
The Wallaceburg BIA is hosting their annual downtown Wallaceburg Holiday Open House on Thursday, November 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Many downtown merchants will be offering specials, in-store promotions, samples and much more.
