Driver caught with speed measuring warning device

A London man faces charges after being caught with a speed measuring warning device.

Chatham-Kent OPP officials said on April 18, 2016, at approximately 8:30 p.m., an officer was on general patrol, on Highway 401 near Orford Road, when he observed a vehicle committing a traffic violation.

The vehicle was stopped and upon further investigation, a 60-year-old London man, was charged with Drive Motor Vehicle with Speed Measuring Warning Device contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The set fine for this offence is $140 with total payable of $170 and three demerit points attached to offenders’ drivers licence.
