MTO-Blitz-Tricker-April-2016-

Earlier this week, members of the CKPS Traffic Unit, Ministry of Transportation and OPP conducted a commercial vehicle safety blitz in Chatham.

As a result:

– 27 vehicles were inspected

– 13 vehicles were taken out of service

– 25 Provincial Offences Act charges were laid

– 1 vehicle was impounded

– 6 license plates were seized

The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind commercial vehicle motorists that random inspection blitz will continue throughout the Municipality.

It is the responsibility of all owners and operators to ensure their vehicles are safe and compliant with Ontario rules and regulations.
