Your Hometown Deli in Wallaceburg has an assortment of delicious options available to help you solve your meal plans for Mother’s Day.

Kevin Blake, co-owner of the business, says if people place their order by Friday, they will have it in plenty of time for Mother’s Day Sunday (May 8.)

“So we are looking at a lasagna with a large family Caesar salad and a garlic pull apart loaf for supper,” Kevin said.

“Or you can get a chicken tetrazzini and a Greek salad with garlic pull apart loaf. This would feed four to six people depending on how big the family is and how much they eat. We have got cabbage rolls you can get. You can just put it together with any meal deal that you want.”

Kevin added: “When you order, ask us to have it heated and ready. Or if you defrost it in the fridge, for example, if you buy it Saturday you defrost it in the fridge overnight, you only have to cook it for about an hour to an hour and a half. From frozen, you are going to have to cook them for about 2.5 hours.

Kevin said one day advance order is a great option for their variety of meat, cheese and dessert trays.

Another option could be to fill Mom’s fridge or freezer for her.

“We have expanded our business,” Kevin said.

“We have got a lot of frozen things and we do different sizes. So there is individual sizes, there is a couple size and then there is a family size. You could also stock Mom’s fridge up so that she doesn’t have to cook for a week.”

“Then we have got our individual beef pot pie, chicken pot pie, tourtiere pie which we also make right here at the Deli. We are also freezing our soups in 15oz packs. So it’s a perfect size for someone as a lunch by itself.”

Kevin said you can also order a fruit tray and veggie tray or people can order fruit bowls.

“You can also order larger quantities of potato salad, you could get a large tray for a large family instead of a smaller container. As long as they call us a day ahead of time we can get that stuff ready for them.”

Your Hometown Deli will only be open until 3 p.m. on Saturday and closed Sunday, so they encouraging everyone to make their orders nice and early.

“Delicious and no dishes,” Kevin said.
