The YMCA Celebration of Youth Awards recognizes local youth who demonstrate sensitivity to others, innovation, academic responsibility, development of personal talents, and give back to their community in practical ways.

Helping students as they strive toward a better, healthier future is the goal of the YMCA’s Celebration of Youth.

Yesterday evening, May 26, at the Retro Suites Hotel, the Chatham-Kent YMCA, sponsors and community partners were extremely proud to recognize these unique individuals in our community. Each award recipient was presented with a $1,000 award.

The YMCAs across Southwestern Ontario offer three YMCA Celebration of Youth Award ceremonies: Sarnia-Lambton (May 22, 2014), Chatham-Kent (May 26, 2016) and Goderich-Huron (Apr 30, 2016), awarding over 40 deserving students.
