Lenard Ouellette of Wallaceburg

1813771_profile_picMr. Lenard Joseph Ouellette, a long time resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, “Sydenham Campus”, Wallaceburg, at the age of 68 years.

He was born in Chatham and was a son of the late Hector and Florence (Couture) Ouellette. Beloved husband of 49 years to Sandy (Murphy) Ouellette. Loving father and father-in-law of Carey and Rob Dekoning, Kim and Phil VanGeersdaelen and Renée and Dean Forgie. Cherished grandfather of Katie, Carter, Tony, Quentin, Lexeia and kelten. Kind brother of Marie and Bill Fish, Lionel and Cathy Ouellette and Wayne and Jill Ouellette. Kind brother-in-law of John and the late Melba Murphy, Pat and Connie Murphy, Nancy and Bob Lozon and the late Ron Murphy. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Lenard had worked at Waltec, in Wallaceburg, for over 42 years. He then went to work at the Duststop in Petrolia for the past 10 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 18, in Wallaceburg. He enjoyed collecting comic books, woodworking, golfing and hunting.

The late Lenard Ouellette is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Visitation will be on Monday, June 20, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 11am from Holy Family Church.
Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Lambton.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Chatham Kent Hospice or the Oncology unit of the Chatham Kent Health Alliance may be left at the funeral home.
