Serious injuries after Highway 40 crash

One person has been sent to hospital after a crash on Highway 40, just outside of Sarnia.

Lambton OPP officials say on Wednesday June 22nd, 2016 just prior to 1:30 p.m., the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to a serious two vehicle motor vehicle collision on 40 Highway.

Lambton OPP along with Sarnia Fire Department and Lambton Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to 40 Highway between Plank Road and McGregor Road, City of Sarnia.

A tractor trailer and a car collided on 40 Highway resulting in the driver of the car being transported to hospital by EMS with serious injuries.

Emergency personnel are still on scene investigating the collision.

40 Highway between Plank Road and McGregor Road is presently closed and will remain closed for an undetermined period of time.

The Lambton County OPP is asking that any person with information regarding this motor vehicle collision to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 882-1011, or their nearest police authority.
