There is still tome to get your children signed up for summer camp at the Wallaceburg and District Museum.
The camps will run on the weeks of July 4-8, July 25-29 and August 8-12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for children ages 6-12.
“We are accepting registration for any of the weeks now until just before,” said Samantha Havens, coordinator for the camps.
“Parents and guardians can come into the museum to register or call the Museum at 519-627-8962 and are encouraged to do so ASAP as spots will be filling up quickly.”
Havens said a camp day consists of active games, a craft, scavenger hunts and outdoor activities, sometimes including water games that relate to our theme of the day.
For the first week themes include:
– Monday, July 4 – Summer Camp Kick-Off Day- This first day will consist of a variety of different games, activities and crafts to introduce children to summer camp and the museum.
– Tuesday, July 5 – Pixar Party – Participants will be playing games and making crafts related to the new popular Pixar movie, “Inside Out,” along with activities associated with “Monster’s Inc.” and “Toy Story”.
– Wednesday, July 6-  Super Safari Adventure – Participants will turn the parquet into our own safari for the day.
– Thursday, July 7- Game Show Show-Down- Children will participate in many activities from some of the popular game shows on TV along with the involvement of our museum staff.
– Friday, July 8- Â Cool Carnival – This is a day that the kids won’t want to miss! Children will get a chance to play a variety of carnival-like games with chances to win prizes.
Havens said the price is $20 for a day filled with lots of activities and fun, with discounts available for larger families.

July 27 – Spy Kids
July 28 – Throwback Thursday
July 29 – Beach Blast
August 8 – The Dinosaur Age
August 9 – Under the Stars
August 10 – Wacky Water Fun
August 11 – Walking the Red Carpet
August 12 – Finale of Fun
