A local business is stepping up to help a Wallaceburg man, who suffered serious injuries in crash last weekend.

Wallaceburg Auto Wash is holding a barbecue at their 63 McNaughton Ave. location on Saturday, July 23 in support of Jesse Lozon.

“Last Saturday our cousin Jesse Lozon was involved in a catastrophic car accident that sent him by air ambulance to London,” said Rod Lozon, owner of the Wallaceburg Auto Wash.

“He suffered severe injuries to his head, neck and spine. Fortunately he is as strong as he is and survived. He and his 8-year old boy need our support.”

The fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“We are also donating a portion of all of the car washes on Saturday to Jesse,” Rod Lozon said.

“Jesse and all of our family would appreciate your support if you can stop by.”

Police still investigating

The investigation is on-going after the rollover crash on Swan Line between Baldoon Road and Border Road, just outside of Wallaceburg.

Police say Lozon lost control of his van, left the roadway, rolled and came to rest in a farmer’s field.

He was transported to the Sydenham Campus in Wallaceburg, before being airlifted to the London Health Science Centre via air ambulance.

Lozon remains in hospital.
