Update: OPP seeking info after ambulance crash

The OPP are looking for the public’s help after a crash between an ambulance and a van on Friday morning, just outside of Wallaceburg.

On August 19, 2016 around 10:30 a.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Chatham-Kent Fire Service, and Chatham-Kent Emergency Medical Services (EMS), responded to a two vehicle head-on collision on Highway 40 near Green Valley Line.

A northbound Ford Minivan collided with a southbound Chatham-Kent EMS Ambulance.

The driver of the minivan, Geoffrey Breteron, 60-years-old of Chatham was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries where he remains in critical condition.

OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) are assisting with the investigation.

The collision investigation is ongoing and anyone with information, which may assist in the investigation, is asked to contact Provincial Constable T. Braun, of the Chatham-Kent OPP Detachment, at (519) 352-1122.
