Home and Cottage Interiors is celebrating the Grand Opening of their store in Wallaceburg this Saturday with a unique community event, called the Vintage Social. The idea came from a sister Annie Sloan Stockist in Indiana.

“We knew that we wanted to do something different and fun,” said store manager and Annie Sloan Stockist, Diane Galvin “but were struggling for an appropriate name.” On a recent trip to Elkhart Indiana, Diane and her husband Dean, visited ‘Bird’s Gotta Fly’ and that’s where they got the inspiration for the name.

The Vintage Social will introduces Home and Cottage Interiors to the area as well as showcase several small vendors. “We have a very eclectic group of entrepreneurs joining us this Saturday,” said Galvin. “Visitors are sure to find something unique to interest them!”

The vendors include local artisans and home-based businesses and will feature rustic furniture, antiques, toys, home decor, henna tattoos, bird houses and much more. There will also be musical entertainment and karaoke as well as a BBQ.

To help celebrate their Grand Opening, Home and Cottage Interiors will be offering NO TAX all day on everything including the Annie Sloan products. “We are even going to open up our storage room and offer our unpainted pieces at great prices for any ‘DoItYourselfers’ who want to tackle painting the furniture themselves.” They also have plans for a very unique FREE photo op for everyone who attends.
