Two local students were the recipients of the inaugural ‘Technical Student Awards’ given out by AarKel Tool and Die Inc.
Trevor Bogaert, from Wallaceburg District Secondary School, and Austin O’Brien-Nordstrom received the award at both of their respective graduation ceremonies.
Both students also met at Aarkel recently for a presentation, where a plaque with their names on it was presented.
The plaque will be displayed prominently at Aarkel’s administrative building.
As part of their win, Aarkel will provide both students with $1,000 to go towards purchasing tools if they chose to come back to the Wallaceburg business and work following graduation.
