Ewan Wilson

stock000000cWILSON: On September 13, 2016 William Ewan Wilson passed away at age 77, after a courageous battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beth (Butler), three sons Andrew (Andrea), Geoff (Svenja) and Scott (Meg), eight grandchildren Alex, Simon, Evelyn, Graham, Maeve, Glenn, Russell and Jude, one sister, Elizabeth, one brother Alistair, mother-in-law Blanche Butler, and several sisters/brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Robert and sister Jane.

Upon graduation in 1967, Ewan began his teaching career at the newly built Lambton Kent Composite School, where he taught biology and environmental sciences, inspiring many students to pursue careers in these fields. He then became vice principal at Wallaceburg District Secondary School and Chatham Kent Secondary School, before returning to LKCS as principal. After a career of 30 years in education, he retired as principal from WDSS.

Many thanks to those special caregivers at Meadow Park Nursing Home, CKHA and Bayshore who kept Ewan smiling throughout his illness.

Visitation will take place at Thomas L. DeBurger Funeral Home 620 Cross St. Dresden Saturday September 17, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to the Blackburn Cemetery, A.L.S.
