$5.2M pot bust in Dawn-Euphemia

The Lambton OPP have made a multi-million dollar pot bust in Dawn-Euphemia.

On Friday September 23rd, 2016, the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located and dismantled a $5,200,000 outdoor marihuana cultivation operation in the area of Bentpath Line, Dawn-Euphemia Township.

At just before 10:00 a.m., members of the Lambton County OPP received information from a concerned citizen of a suspected marihuana grow operation in the 6000 block of Bentpath Line, Dawn-Euphemia Township. Members of the Lambton OPP attended the location and located a large scale marihuana cultivation operation.

The Lambton OPP Street Crime Unit along with West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the West Region OPP Canine Unit were contacted to assist with the investigation.

During the course of the investigation, the Lambton OPP seized and destroyed approximately 5,200 mature marihuana plants with a street value of approximately $5,200,000.
