Fail to remain crash leads to arrest

A Dover man faces a string of charges after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash.

Police officials say last night, around 8:15 p.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle rollover collision on River Line between Communication Road and Harwich Road.

Upon arrival, officers located an unoccupied truck with extensive damage that had struck a hydro pole.

Concerned for the driver’s safety, K9 Arry attended the scene and officers used an infrared camera to search the area.

The driver was subsequently located at his residence with minor injuries.

The 44-year-old Dover Township man has been charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident and careless driving.

Damage was estimated at $25,000.
