The weekend is upon us once again, let’s see what is going on in the area:

– Friday is a P.A. Day for children in English and French schools. Enjoy your day off kids!

– St. James Church is holding their ‘Court Whist’ on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. Prizes, squares, tea & coffee will be available.

– The Homeward Star Search continues on Friday evening, October 28. Round three of the preliminary round will take place at the CBD Club, starting at around 7:30 p.m.

– The Wallaceburg Museum is holding their annual ‘Haunted Museum’ on Saturday, October 29. Come along and see what the Wallaceburg Museum looks like in the dark… if you dare! With actors and rooms filled with scary things around every corner. There is also a G-Rated movie on in the Jeanne Gordon Theatre and a costume contest so dress up and come along and have some fun:

– Our Lady Help of Christians Parish Centre is holding their annual ‘Fall Bazaar’ on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.:

– The Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre is also holding a ‘Fall Bazaar’ on Saturday:

– PAWR is holding a ‘Howl-een’ Party at Bowlerama in Chatham:

– The Chatham-Kent OPP is inviting people for an afternoon of thrills, chills, and festive fun as they celebrate their inaugural “Haunted Halloween” at the Chatham-Kent OPP detachment. Staff Sergeant Brad Coulbeck and the members of the Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), in partnership with Chatham-Kent Police Service and the United Way of Chatham-Kent – Youth Engagement Partnership will be hosting a Haunted Halloween event on October 30, 2016. “Haunted Halloween” is open to children ages 2-14. There will be pumpkin carving, face painting, a kid-friendly haunted house, and a hot dog BBQ. Everyone is welcome to attend the Chatham-Kent OPP detachment, 535 Park Avenue East, between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Donations for Operation Cover-Up will be accepted.
