Mrs. Joyce Evelyn Goethals, a resident of Chatham and formerly of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Meadow Park, Chatham at the age of 83.
Joyce was born in Hazel Hill, Nova Scotia and was a daughter of the late Harvey and Delphine MacKenzie.
Beloved wife of Albert Goethals. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Carolann (Grail) Holek, Joey Matthews, Cindy Matthews, Brad Matthews and John (Diane) Goethals. Sadly missed by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Kind sister of Norma Lohnes, Lenora (the late Don) Ehler, Gloria (Wilfred) Avery, Beverly (Jim) Drewry, Gordon (Linda) MacKenzie and Stanton (Lorraine) MacKenzie. Predeceased by her daughters Linda and Kim and son Chip. Also sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
At Joyce’s request, cremation will take place.
Arrangements entrusted to the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimers Society may be left at the funeral home.
