Tom Devin of Wallaceburg

Tom-Devin-1484587704Thomas Franklin Devin, a resident of Wallaceburg, died peacefully at the Chatham hospital on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the age of 73.

Tom is the son of the late Thomas Hugh Bernard & Laura Maxine (King) Devin. Loved father of Shelley Wisniewski (Colin) and Sherry Cockwell (Ralph). Dear grandfather of 4 grand and 4 great grandchildren. Brother of Joseph Devin, Margaret Devin-Hambleton (Norman), Patrick Devin, Mary Devin (Barry Bishop) and the late Dennis Devin. He is also survived by 1 niece and 3 nephews and 1 great niece & 1 great nephew.

Tom served as a Supply Officer in the Royal Canadian Navy on the aircraft carrier HMCS Bonaventure and the destroyer HMCS Iroquois and had worked at Welland Chemicals in Sarnia. Tom then enjoyed travelling the world again.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 11:30 – 1:30 on Saturday, January 21 with the memorial service to follow at 1:30 PM.
