Leona Innis of Wallaceburg

Leona-Innis-1486482143Leona Innis, a resident of Wallaceburg, died peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance – Public General Campus on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the age of 87.

Leona is the daughter of the late Oscar (1961) & Alice (De Sutter) (2000) De Dobbeleer. Predeceased by her beloved husband Albert in 2002. Loving mother of Cheryl Babo, Brian Innis (Barb), Debbie Grieve (Rick), Janet Vercauteren (Rick) and the late David (2011). Dear grandmother of Tracy Babo, Kim Babo (John), Brad Innis (Vanessa), Bobbi-Jo Innis (Jim), Kristopher Grieve (Erica), Jason Grieve (Melissa), Ryan McNeil, Karissa (Jeff) and Kylee (Adam), 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Sister of the late Bertha Neil and sister-in-law of Bill & Betty Innis. She will be missed by several nieces & nephews. Leona had retired from Libby’s and loved being a homemaker, being around her family, cooking, sewing and enjoying her grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 7-9 PM on Thursday. The funeral will be celebrated at the funeral home on Friday, February 10 at 12 noon. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
