Blenheim tops Dresden, evens series at 2-2

The road team continues to thrive in the best-of-seven opening round playoff series between the Dresden Kings and the Blenheim Blades.

The Blades visited Dresden Arena on Friday night and walked away with an 8-3 win.

The visiting team has won each game in the series, which is now tied 2-2.

Kevin Ritzer, Cory Lucier and Derek Shaw scored for Dresden in the loss.

A game after pitching a shutout for the Kings, goalie Joel Sowinski gave up 7 goals on 25 shots in two periods of play. Caleb Pinsonneault gave up 1 goal on 7 shots in one period of play in the third.

A total of 748 people packed into Dresden Arena for the game.

Game #5 in the series will take place on Sunday in Blenheim.

Puck drops at 7 p.m.
