The Dresden Kings couldn’t hold on to the lead on Sunday in Game #5 of their best-of-seven opening round playoff series against the Blenheim Blades.
Dresden got a goal in the second period by Kyle Hachey at the 10:05 mark.
The Kings took this 1-0 lead into the third period, but this is when things started to unravel.
Blenheim scored three straight goals in the third, giving them the 3-1 victory and the 3-2 series lead.
The Blades are the first home team to win in the series, as 548 people piled into Blenheim Memorial Arena for Game #5.
Game #6 will take place in Dresden on Wednesday night, February 15.
