Rainfall and thunderstorms expected Tuesday night

Lots of rain is in the forecast for Tuesday night, as Environment Canada issues a special weather statement in Chatham-Kent.

Environment Canada officials say rainfall amounts of 15-25 mm is possible as an area of showers with embedded thunderstorms is expected to move into the region Tuesday night.

Forecasters say higher amounts of rain are possible in some areas.

Environment Canada meteorologists will continue to monitor this developing weather system and issue further statements or alerts as required.
