The Wallaceburg Red Devils kept busy today by giving back to the community.

Members of the Junior ‘B’ lacrosse club volunteered their time at the Knox Presbyterian Church ‘Soup Cellar’.

“We want to be more community oriented,” Jamie Knight, co-coach for the Red Devils, told the Sydenham Current.

“We want the boys to give back when they can.”

Knight said him and his daughter met with the ‘Soup Cellar’ organizers at the church to set up the meal on Monday.

“Ivy Johnston, Kerry Daugherty and myself made spaghetti and the boys served it,” Knight said, adding that they plan on helping with another meal at the ‘Soup Cellar’ later on this season.

“Really proud of the boys for doing this. Made my day.”

Knight said the team has been in the gym for over a month, and will shift over to the arena come April.
