Jimmy Bull of Wallaceburg

Jimmy-Bull-1489420656James Frederick “Jimmy” Bull, a resident of Wallaceburg, died peacefully at the CKHA – Sydenham Campus on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the age of 71.

Jimmy was the son of the late Bill and Ruby (Austin) Bull and was also predeceased by his brother Larry. Jimmy, also known as Lightning, was best known for filling gas tanks, cleaning your windshield and checking your oil at Sunoco and then Petro-Canada before retiring in 2011.

He was a humble, kind and gentle soul whose favorite sayings were “I have a good day every day!” and “My Dad always told me, ‘If you are good to others, they will be good to you’”. He was a faithful member of the Wallaceburg Hornet’s old timer hockey club and always bought the first ticket to the Wallaceburg Sport’s Hall of Fame dinner, ticket # 001. Jimmy was also a faithful member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church.

He will be dearly missed by his adopted family Ron & Yvonne Modde, Shelley & Pete Aarssen, Brady, Lynsey & Lillia Aarssen, Max & Shaylin Kemmering, Danielle & Levi Aarssen, Tammy, Tony, Shayne & Dylan Dobbelaar and Jay & Cassie Modde.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Thursday. Parish Prayers at 3:30. The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Friday, March 17 at 11 AM. Interment to follow in Riverview Cemetery.
