Walpole Island’s Keahna Riley will be representing the province in girls hoops for the second consecutive year.
The 6’6 Wallaceburg Tartans forward has been named to the Team Ontario under-17 girls basketball team.
“Keahna has worked hard over the past year in order to improve her game and prepare for the Team Ontario selection camp,” Janine Day, the Tartans head coach, told the Sydenham Current.
“WDSS is proud of her accomplishments. I’m looking forward to seeing the progress she has made after her summer with Team Ontario.”
The Grade 11 student is one of 24 players on the team.
They will play at the Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg from July 29 to Aug. 3.
They’ll also play in tournaments in Virginia, Montreal and Chicago this summer.
