Transport flips on the 401 in C-K

Charges have been laid after a transport flipped on the 401 on Tuesday night.

OPP officials say on March 28, at around 5:30 p.m. a officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 near Victoria Road.

Investigation revealed a westbound Commercial Motor Vehicle had lost control, rolled onto its side and came to rest in the centre median blocking the westbound lanes.

The driver was treated for minor injuries.

Emergency crews attend and Highway 401 westbound was temporarily closed in order to accommodate emergency and towing crews.

The 65-year-old male driver of Port Huron, Michigan has been charged with careless driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
