Clarice ‘Cal’ Jacobs of Walpole Island First Nation,

Cal-Jacobs-1491302549Clarice Joyce ‘Cal’ Jacobs, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, died peacefully at home with her family by her side on April 3, 2017, at the age of 64.

Cal is the daughter of the late Wilson & Carol Joyce (Kukola) Nahdee. Beloved wife of Dean M. Jacobs. Loving mother of Lee Jacobs (Charlene) and Jana Rae Jacobs. Dear grandmother of Mechise, Dallas, Falcon, Jaycob, Journey and the late Jason (February 2014) and great grandmother of Ember, Mechise Jr. and Hector. Sister of Marianne Hill, Liz Nahdee, Russell Nahdee, Linda ‘Wink’ Nahdee, Robin White, Vaughn Nahdee and Laura Nahdee.

Cal is dearly missed by many friends, colleagues, relatives and especially by brother-in-law ‘C.J.’. Cal was a Nursery Aide, Education Assistant and Social Counsellor working with children at the Walpole Island Day Care and Walpole Island Elementary School.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 7-9 PM on Tuesday and 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Wednesday. The funeral will be celebrated at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Thursday, April 6 at 2 PM. Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery.
